Fine Work Diode Pumped Green Laser Machine

The Fine Work low loss Diode Pumped Green Laser Machine has been developed especially for diamond sawing, shaping and bruting. The laser have a long resonator in order to have a pulse with enough power to cut in the stone without having the risk of damaging the stones.

The diode pumped lasers benefits from the latest electronic developments. It allows the pulse shaping and power modulation during the whole process in order to minimise risks and adapt the power during the sawing.

Performances:

  • The Green Laser Machine will cut up to 40 Carats in 8 hours.
  • Thickness of 25 to 30 mm and more may be processed.
  • Losses are between 1,2 to 2,0 % depending on the size and the shape of the diamond.

Standard Software.
Gemsaw Software 4 axis motion controller:
It offers the possibility to operate X-Y-Z table and one rotation axis.

Sawingsoftware.
- The software can perform a straight cut from point 1 to point 2.
- The sawing length is adjustable with the keyboard arrows.
- It is possible to block and unblock the X axis.
- The software supports two cameras with a field of view 1 mm2 and 30x30 mm.
- By choosing the camera 1. it is possible to find a stone, select the right stone and specify the sawing direction.
- By choosing the camera 2. it is possible to inspect the stone or a cut, to find the highest point or center of the stone and log on it.
- Whilst sawing:
- Possibility to interrupt the sawing process, inspect the stone and start again.
- Possibility to interrupt the sawing process, adjust the current depth of the stone and continue the sawing.

With the stone rotation option it is possible to saw the diamond till the specified depth, rotate 45°, 90° or 180° and continue the sawing process. This feature allows sawing the diamond from two sides with less sawing loss.

The Software allows the programming of a V-cut by selecting the sawing angle, exit width and the distance between the strokes and layers. In the properties the V-cut it is possible to select the repetition of the passes on the edge of the V-cut.
One can also choose the shape of the V-cut (centre, left or right). Left and right tilled V-cut has a certain disadvantage: The sawing depth can not be more than 1 - 2mm.

Processing the stones with a bigger depth will result in the laser beam deflection to the left or right side of the stone.

Shapingsoftware.
- A selection of standard forms is available:
- Rounds (circular), Marquise, Pears, Hearts, Ovals, Triangle, Square, Rhomboid (Shield), Custom shape.
- For each shape it is possible to project and adjust the form on the diamond.
- Standard Rhomboid (Shield) shape adjusted to an entirely different form.
- For the sawing of each shape it is possible to specify the V-cut and the sawing parameters.

Useful feature: import shapefile.
With the help of 3D diamond analyzing equipment like „Sarin“ is possible to analyze the stone properties and select the biggest or the best diamond yield from the rough stone. (No direct link.)

The Software allows the importing of DXF files and executes the shaping according to the chosen laser parameters.

In green the projection on the surface of the shape of the rough stone.
In white the oval shape chosen by operator to be cut off.
- Shape creation: import of closed outlines from any vector based graphic drawing package.
- Smart saw: for special work and delicate sawing (Power Modulation).
