L-740 ULTRA-PRECISION LEVELSCAN® LASER
DESCRIPTION
The L-740 Ultra-Precision Levelscan® Laser provides an ultra-flat plane of light for quick, easy flatness and levelness measurements. It has an integrated precision leveling base with backlit level vials accurate to 1 arc second (0.00006"/ft or 0.005 mm/M) and coarse and fine adjustments for pitch and roll. The laser plane is accurate to 0.5 arc second (0.00003"/ft or 0.002 mm/M) in a 360º sweep and 0.16 arcsec (0.000015"/ft or 0.0013 mm/M) in a 90º sweep. It has an operational range of 100 feet (30.5 meters) in radius. A three-position switch (LASER & SCAN, LASER ONLY, and OFF) controls the laser beam, and the level vials are backlit for easy reading. The diode laser is low power (less than 1 mW) and visible to the naked eye for easier setup.
APPLICATIONS (for applications with tolerances of 0.00002"/ft or 0.0017 mm/M or higher)
- General machine leveling
- Checking the flatness of almost any surface (squares, frames, ways, flanges, circles, etc.)
- Measuring machine beds and ways, large bearing surfaces, and fabrications
- Checking way twist and parallelism between horizontal surfaces
- Aerospace tooling leveling/floor alignment
- Turbine split-joint leveling/measuring
- Continuous casters
- Antenna arrays
- Large Lathe Beds
- Surface Plate Calibration
- Continuously rotating diode laser with 100' (30.5 meters) radius operating range.
- Instant on with virtually no warm up.
- Setup in as little as 5 minutes.
- Laser plane flat to 0.5 arcsec (0.00003"/ft or 0.0025 mm/M) in 360º sweep and 0.16 arc seconds (0.000015"/ft or 0.0013 mm/M) in 90º sweep.
- Standard target: A-1519HR Single-Axis Wireless Target with 1" (25.4 mm) measuring range and 0.0001" (0.0025 mm) resolution.
- Uses A-1520 Single-Axis Wireless Target with 0.5 micron (0.00002") resolution for higher accuracy applications.
- Targets produce live display of alignment data.
- Laser and targets fit into a small, portable shipping case.
- Precision level vials accurate to 1 arcsec (0.00006"/ft or 0.005 mm/M).
- Uses A/C adapter or battery pack.
- System compatible with Windows 95/98/XP Plane 5
- Software that quickly records and analyzes flatness data.
